Q. Why do your candles burn so well?
A. Busy Bee Candles are made from Soy Wax which has a lower melting point than most paraffin waxes. This allows more wax to melt at the base of the flame and thus keeps the wick working well. It also helps to “launch” the fragrance into the room.
Q. I love your candles. The scents are fabulous. How do I trim the wick?
A. Thank you. We are so glad you love Busy Bee Candles. Trimming the wick is easy. Using a pair of scissors, reach down into the jar and snip off the end of the wick. Always leave about 3-6mm of the wick exposed from the wax and remove the waste bit of wick. Relight the candle and enjoy. Repeat this as often as is necessary. It will prolong the life of the candle by using less wax.
Q. My favourite Busy Bee Candle is Strawberry Crush. I light it every day. Its such a wonderful fragrance. How should I keep my candles in the best condition?
A. We also love Strawberry Crush. Have you tried our Baby Powder or Strudel & Spice candles? They are Fabulous! Our candles need no special attention to keep them at their best. Just follow these simple steps. Trim the wick as often as is required. Keep your candles at normal room temperature (about 20 deg. Celsius). Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. For more information check out the Candle Care page.
Q. I’m amazed by your Baby Powder Candles. The scent is wonderful and they burn for so long. I kept my candle on a warm surface and then realised what I’d done. I moved it quickly back to somewhere cooler! Is this going to damage my candle?
A. Baby Powder is our best seller. We love the scent. You will not have damaged the candle as long as it has not all melted and the wick slumped back into the wax. Just trim the wick, relight and enjoy.
Q. I am thinking of placing an order at with busy bee candles. Can you tell me how long they take to arrive?
A. We aim to deliver your candles within 5 working days. Sometimes we run short of stock in a particular size and/or fragrance. If a delay is expected, we will contact you to offer you an alternative size or fragrance. If this is unsuitable, we will refund your money and let you know when that particular item is ready for dispatch (usually within a few days).
Q. I love all my Busy Bee Candles. I use them myself and give them as presents to my family and friends. I recently ordered a batch of 8 candles and two arrived damaged in transport. Will you exchange them please?
A. Thank you for your support. We are a small British Company and greatly value the support of our customers. If there is a problem with any of your orders, just let us know. We will refund or exchange any items that you are not 100% happy with. We ask you to return the items in their original packaging to help us in finding out what went wrong
in the delivery process.
Q. I love busy bee candles. I burn them all over my house. The fragrances are exquisite! I have several pets and my jars sometimes become dusty. How do I keep my jars looking their best?
A. We are so pleased you love our products. We do too! Keeping Busy Bee Candles looking their best is very easy. Use a soft dry cloth to gently wipe the jar inside and out. We usually use kitchen roll or a tissue paper. This will leave your candle looking its best and ready to relight.
Q. I love my newly delivered Mini Bees. They are so cute. Is there anything I should do to these mini candles before or during use?
A. Mini bees are our favourites. Who would think that such a small candle will burn for 6 plus hours. There is nothing in particular you have to do. Just follow the Candle Care and Safety page guidance and keep the wick trimmed. Enjoy your little gems.
